Dear Ma,
Well it sure is one heck of a fight out here. General says we should be up to the front lines in a weeks time. The lord finally brings us good news as an FO who flew with JS a few days said he confirmed the PHX base and said they were looking into raising pay to upper 40s, low 50s to start. CAs can see a 5-10% raise. I'm not sure if we can believe this miracle until the lord casts his final word. I'll write to you soon. Until then, back to the fight. I'll hopefully update you later with news of victory and conquest.

The problem is, the company can do a lot more on the bottom end to get people in the door, than they can on the top end to get people to stay. No captain is going to pull their Delta app, or turn down an interview, just because Compass raised their pay by 10% or more. So there is no motivation to do an across the board pay raise at all.
