I think this will help our recruiting efforts but I also think PHX is going to be a pretty senior base, that said, maybe people will come for the PHX-LAX commute getting a lot easier until they can hold PHX.
As for the OO guy that asked if it came with anything contractually, from the time the base opens, it is contractually required to be open for 2 years. This is why they've been talking about the base for months openly but weren't ready to call it official until DL would commit to keeping enough PHX flights for a 2 year timeframe.

As for PHX CFI's, Skywest bought Transpac, the major flight school out there, and plenty of them go through their cadet system so they're already spoken for.. Maybe Compass should set up a booth in the parking lot outside the fence there though.

Well without someone accusing me of being sarcastic I really want to say congratulations and I'm happy for y'all.

I'm at OO but I have had so many CPZ guys in the JS who probably could not be more thrilled and who are always awesome to have in there Always a great chat.

Very happy for you guys and I hope this does increase y'all class sizes and recruitment. PHX is a great place.

Even with a new base announcement, which is great news, this should be very disconcerting to all Compass pilots.

JS said we're not going to lose planes... unless we BREACH our contracts.

Even if we started out heavy on the FO list, with attrition and upgrades, not being able to attract fresh blood does increase the chance that we will breach contracts.
