Yes because they are now two separate duty periods

Well that was my thought too when they relaxed scope from 70 to 76 seats at UA. But the key is how much cash they offer at the top end to get a 51% vote in favor. All it takes is a simple majority, and there are new hires in this industry at the regional level saying that they'll fly a 787 for $22/ hour.

In my opinion they are just hoping to create a new "status quo". I mean they've ignored the violations for 6 months, what's another year and a half?

It would be nice to have some communication from our union about how the 20+ grievances related to IOCC are going. Have our sister airlines settled their grievances with IOCC? What did they get as compensation? I know where I'd be if I willfully violated the contract. I hope the company at least compensates those that have been most affected by the implementation (crews) reasonably well. I'm not just talking about compensatory days off or extra vacation either. I'm talking five figures of cold hard cash per person.

GoJet and Trans States don't use OTM (German Flica) like we do,everything is done manually there, and Trip assignments are done a week out. CPZ is kind of the guinea pig for the IOCC trading system.

Well that's even more ammo for the union with their ask. Our crews have been adversely affected by these changes and we have nothing to show for it as of yet.If management happens to be looking at performance numbers as a metric for success then that tells me where we need to start hurting before anything will be done.

Has the National Mediation Board been made aware of these violations? Are we looking at taking this to arbitration? By waiting until things are fixed we are only hurting our position. I believe the company knows this.

The company will probably just prolong anything until the union members get hired elsewhere and then never have to face the matter.

I buy this answer. Keeps their costs down as long as possible.

I always thought I'd be good at management. If you can't beat 'em join 'em /s.

Default Questions from a new hire

Hoping to get some insight on the reserve schedule. Wondering how many days a month reserve line pilots fly...is there an opportunity to drop trips?

Is Compass a decent place for an older dude like me, who wants to fly but doesn't want to be worked to death?

I don't have ambitions beyond left seat in an E-175, so this is a gig decision on my end - your thoughts are much appreciated.
