or later? Does anyone know for sure when the CPA expires? The only thing I've ever heard in an official capacity is Bob on a conference call saying they are both good "to the 2020s."

Are the normally 5 year deals?

I'm pretty sure they have a document signed by their pilot group (SAPA) and their management.

Contract (noun): a written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law.

If you're going to call someone out for not understanding something, you should understated it yourself first. By the definition above I'd say they have a contract. But maybe my understanding of the English language is the problem.
I see you took my humor quite literally. I don't know what to tell you about that. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

To answer the 2020 thing, I think that will be a big year for Compass and many other regionals. Who know what will happen in 6 months let alone 2.5 years. I'm hoping that we will all be long gone by then. Expect the lifers, it's a slow sinking ship for those guys. Hell if by 2020, regionals ceased to exist and mainline took back all the flying, including beloved OO flying, I'd be very okay with that. The regionals need to die.

People seemed to be taking it seriously, when like you summed up later, 99.9% of us will be at our career carriers.

I agree, hopefully mainline will bring all the large RJ flying back in house.

Thanks just checked. They departed out of gate 40 (so no Eagles Nest). Flight 9560, so that's not a regular Envoy flight number so I don't know if it's a coverage flight or not.
