Not arguing with you, but please enlighten me on what error can be made? You either can hold a line or you can't correct?

Well that's the tricky thing because you were hired during a time where there was no movement... But of course as long as we don't lose planes now the movement would continue so someone hired today in theory would have a shorter time on reserve and quicker upgrade. The math is what it is, the problem is always the assumptions in the math...

I have a friend on reserve who showed me his bid and he definitely wouldn't get anything. He was bidding for weekends off and cushy commutable lines. When you are on the brink of a line, you bid for not reserve and not reserve. You can't be picky because your already limited number of possible pairings gets even more limited.

Go to the compass ALPA site and fill out a PBS request form and a member will contact you for help. It may be your bid it may be that you're just short of a buildup.

Well we are losing about 20 pilots every month. That kind of attrition is crazy with only 700 pilots. MSP block will be transferred to LAX and SEA. RSVs used to be in the 50-60s 2-3 months ago. Now it's in the 20-30s in LAX. Things are definitely moving along. So far I've had about 20 MSP guys come over and I am still moving up in seniority. If we have 12 upgrades a month and about 10 MSP guys coming over, do the math. There is movement. Things are getting better.

LAX-Most Junior Build up line holder is a 9/15/2016 hire, 9ish months.
SEA-Most Junior Build up line holder is a 6/23/2016 hire, 1 year on the dot.
Considerations-These numbers are based off of hire date, so day one in MSP (not being line qualified...) This also incompasses 6 months of seniority list stagnation and shrinkage (I hate when that happens). And this is olnly looking at Build up lines, not full fledged line holders.
Source (I guess we are doing that now)-The July 2017 FO Bid Awards cross referenced with the April 2017 Pilot Seniority List.
