I stand corrected then. It's good to know we have at least some leverage.

this may be dumb question but I never had a line...
when can you drop trips from a line? only during SAP or any time?
How do you do it in IOCC?

You can't really drop in SAP can you? Only swap or trade with open trips I think... you can drop in open time if the grid is green or let someone pick up your trip.

Wishful thinking, except they did the same thing last year.

well that is what I'm trying to figure out. In the CBA under SAP it says you can swap or trade trips, but then a few paragraphs later it gives and example under the PPW section that says a pilot drops a trip then picks up another one. I thought the PPW was before open time starts so that would mean you could drop trips before open time starts.
Don't see anything else about dropping trips except in the open time section.

So about this FFD thing...are we still going to have to initialize using the normal 00-social thing or will this take it's place? Seems silly to have to do both, then again it would make too much sense to only do the FFD thing...

I think it guides you to do both in the Operations Bulletin and it sounds like at a later date we will stop handing releases out.

Yeah you still need to do both. Initializing the ACARS using the 00 method is just to get the takeoff and landing data and the Out Off On In times linked to your flight #. Although it was said in the FOM that this also was you signing fit for duty the requirements of the electronic signature AC made the company have to create a more deliberate method for signing.
