It will be interesting to see how pilots at the majors will vote in the future considering the airlines are being staffed more and more by regional guys who've been in poverty up to and beyond 10 years. Hopefully this "next generation",if you will, of big three pilots will help make life better for those below them.

Under rumor control, it was just that Mesa was not becoming part of the operation, nor was Delta looking to buy us.
No mention of a merger between the three companies (Compass, TSA, GoJet). So that is still a possibility. We are all owned by TSH, use Lido and IOCC. TSA and Compass are ALPA, G7 is Teamsters but that can change. Even if they can merge 2/3 running 2 airlines rather than 3 will cut down costs. Ideally for STL they will save the most money by merging all 3.
Think about XJT. SkyWest INC owns SkyWest, ASA, XJT....ASA and XJT got merged. I'm betting that if they could have all three merged they would have, the only hang up was SkyWest not having a union.

I really doubt they'd cut costs by merging us.
Obviously merging TSA and Gojet would be....a really big issue for old time TSA people who still hold that grudge.
Compass's contract is a lot better than TSA/GoJet, and then they'd have people trying to change equipment causing a huge increase in training costs.
Yeah, one set of manuals and one certificate is slightly cheaper, but it's offset by all the other costs. So, good rumor, but you gotta give us something a little more for me to buy it.
