at some point it becomes reasonable to self release. If the last flight is gone, why are you even calling to get released? Just go home.

Given this guy's luck a gate return. Or maybe they want a guy to taxi a plane to the hangar. Yeah you could self release but on the off chance they find something and you're gone, do you think they'll overturn a missed trip/flight when you left without being released?

I think the point is not the unreasonable request but more the logic behind it. We can do what we want... Deal with it. It's a power trip.

I would even be willing to run such a system on the union side of the house.
Would it be possible to use a Facebook page or some other board to find someone who also wants to switch bases, and then just trip trade your entire months schedule with them? If both parties were gentlemen about it, they could bid according to what the other party prefers.

Exactly. Its a power trip and i want a spotless record for when the next company looks at it. I was there til 12am. Last flight left a 11pm. If i had done the short callout they wouldn't have had a ready. I wanted so badly to throw some part of the contract at them.
