This. I'm sure company fluffed up the blog post a bit,but either way it's a cool story. Looking at his IG,he's proud of his accomplishments..give the man a break. Not everyone goes right from Riddle to a shiny jet..

Some advice for everyone out there, screenshot your duty plan every time there is a change. I know it has been said here before but keep as close eye on your pay. Twice already in March I have had flying taken off my schedule and not been pay protected for it until I sent an email to payroll and had them fix it!

Was wondering if anyone has a problem similar to this. Checked my bank account and was surprised to see a pending deposit from compass for my settlement check already. Also surprised to see the amount equates to one of the lowest I think I have ever got since becoming a line holder. I had around an 86 hour line last month with quite a few over blocks in there. Using the information in the daily update I checked the duty plan for last month to use that as an indicator for the pay we can expect and it is all zeros all the way down. Anyone have this issue? Was wondering what all I should be sending to payroll department to get this figured out. I believe I am substantially short on hours and they are just giving me basically min pay for the month since the duty plan is set at all zeros. Also i have seen reference to netline in earlier posts but I have not checked that out nor do i know about it. Sound kind of naive but I am not used to this site.

I recently spoke with a recruiter from my #1 choice of legacy. They flatly stated... "we aren't hiring 135 guys anymore due to poor training outcomes we have experienced with people coming from 135".
So, I am looking at leaving a pretty good 135 gig to get into 121.
I know there are a ton of variables regarding the following questions, but would love to hear some educated opinions:
1. How painful would a SMF-LAX or SMF-SEA commute be?
2. With 6mos seniority what kind of efficiency could an FO in LAX expect? (hrs credit for a 3 day trip? 4 day trip?)
3. If QOL is #1, you are bottom of the pile, and you (hypothetically) live in SMF... which base are you shooting for?
Gracias amigos!

1. Go to Skywest
2. Go to Skywest
3. Go to Skywest
Additionally, AS has taken a lot of guys even in the last year from either straight 135 or extensive 135 on their resume with a little bit of 121 at the end. So this is obviously targeted specifically against said company.
*disclaimer* I'm not trying to be super negative here and I am still glad I'm at CP, but as a new guy looking into a company who isn't even hiring and literally has no idea what to expect in the next month, I'd recommend you go to the "other" west coast regional. Just my 2 cents.

My duty plan is ALL kinds of messed up. Wish I could get a preview of my settlement check because I'm 100% sure I'm going to have to dispute it.

Speaking of they used to send out emails letting us know when we could preview our next check on the compass intranet. I haven't seen one in quite some time.

My duty plan is fine. Iv had many schedule changes the past few months. Iv checked everything for Feb and March (which has had alot of changes so far), and it all looks like it should. Im not saying everyone else is, just putting in my observation. I must be one of the lucky few to not have an issue with IOCC.... yet. I used to dbl check my pay anyway, this is no different. In the years Iv been here, Iv yet to find somethign wrong with my paycheck. Like I said, YMMV.

I don't see my pay quite yet but I know the Duty Plan in Netline has been showing bogus numbers. From what I hear Payroll is in complete chaos right now with the new system. My Duty Plan shows zero Per Diem and a couple other mistakes. I can't get Payroll to respond to me so WHO knows what my check will end up being. Anyone else been able to get a response from Payroll??
