What is unprofessional is how our company treats their employees. What's unprofessional is how our COO telling pilots and FAs in the crew room that the new system has no issues or hiccups, that "it's doing quite well!" What's unprofessional is the company knowingly disregarding the Collective bargaining agreement. What's unprofessional is our LAX chief pilot yelling at his pilots.

If this truly is the case, get the union involved. We have proof and past practice of this being allowed on build up lines and this should allow the practice to continue. When reserve lines are estimated and built, this number isn't including build up reserves. You should be able to drop them straight up or place a trip in its place at your discretion. They can't all of a sudden choose to not honor what we had in the past.

Yeah and the thing is they would agree with you and say thats totally fine to place a trip in place of RSV but IOCC doesn't know that and they won't let you talk about trip trades over the phone so by the time you get an email everything you were looking at is gone. I was told today triptrades has 500 emails to respond to in order of received.
All that to say, I didn't hear the conf. call but I echo the talks on professionalism. I too feel the company has been unprofessional on some things. I thought getting yelled at and hung up on by a scheduler was pretty unprofessional. But always keep in mind that even for your own career 's sake you never know who will end up at your dream job.. This is not an industry to burn bridges.

The long term stability of Sabre?
Sabre Airline Solutions services approximately 225 airlines including network carriers, hybrids and low cost carriers.
"This decision was based almost entirely upon our analysis of the longterm stability of our Sabre dispatch system. At the same time, Sabre became less and less responsive to fixing issues as they occurred. Additionally, Sabre’s future cost structure was not transparent, and we had no way to know what we would spend on the product in the years to come, or even when any satisfactory fixes would be available to us."

We've got to quit b!****** and moaning over the loss of flica and sabre. Yes it sucks but we won't see it coming back and there not any anything we can do about it. We need to concentrate the fight on what we can do. We have to get improvements/updates to the system because schedules directly effect the QOL. At least Bob has acknowledged the frustration and has plans to keep us in the loop, who knows if it will actually happen though. Hopefully we will see the changes soon. If you are having problems with the system, definitely grieve it. Maybe after the company sees hundreds on file and have to pay back things at critical or vacation etc will help the fight.

The issue is management. The roll out could have been handled much better. We're given false information, such as saying Sabre not having long term stability or saying that we didn't lose aircraft due to performance issues.
It's almost analogous to the meme with the dog sitting in a room in fire saying "This is fine."
Now what can we do about it? As a pilot group we can do nothing and watch our QOL go downhill as many have pointed out with the transition.
Or we can discuss what the problems are and think about solutions. I think that's what your perceived *****ing really is. I don't think that people who complain on here are miserable, they just want to see improvement or at least status quo with working conditions...especially when all of our peers in the industry are.

I don't think people are *****ing and moaning about losing Sabre. It's the bigger picture. Yes he acknowledged that it didn't go well in the memo, but they have touted it as a smooth transition.
