Compass Updates - Saga Continues

Crazy how IOCC has contributed so significantly in lowering the moral. I was so happy here then this happened... I know I'm not the only one. Everyone I fly with even the FAs are so unhappy with it. Even the Gate Agents are unhappy with the stress of getting this new release that often times give them a hard time to print. I'm sorry but the only success this cutover had was making people unhappy just to save money for something that doesn't even work. Disaster...

Don't think that is very true. There are other bigger airlines, Southwest and others, who are also going to this system. Although I do believe, and I hope, the regional model of flying will fail epically

Southwest is getting Lufthansa IOCC?! Where are you getting this nonsense from? And who are the "others"? Please, share your sources. I thought it was just a TSH punishment, a little torture "gift", to their 3 slave airlines.

Straight from the higher ups. I honestly don't remember who the other airlines were but SW was one of them.

I think FPR is what is called a Deadhead by most other non German airlines. Flight Positioning Route or something...
And by the time they get around to doing a swap request the trip in question is long gone. Also you're not alone with the 37:30 hour error. Same here. The union need to come down on this hard and fast. No more buddy-buddy between upper union management and crew scheduling like has been the case for a long time.

[QUOTE=Fpmx772;2310612]So the source is the "higher ups" from Compass? That's a legit source! I'm pretty sure Southwest is not getting IOCC. I may be wrong, have been many times in the past, but I think someone at Southwest would have heard about it before Compass "higher ups". Why would anyone with a profit history like SWA gut their existing (working) system and replace it with a non-working, horrible p.o.s. like IOCC? I don't think SWA would put a few bucks ahead of their employee relations. If that's really the case, I feel sorry for all SWA employees and would not be surprised if that triggered a massive exodus to legacies, especially from the bottom of the SWA list. Just look at the IOCC, it's not only user not-friendly, it's full of errors - trading, dropping, pay and credit errors. It's horrible! I know I'm not the only one here that got even more motivated to move on after the implementation of the IOCC. The quality of life at Compass decreased for everyone after the IOCC, and I highly doubt this would benefit anyone in the airline like SWA.

Higher ups being straight from the CEO AND COO mouth...They could have been BSing us when we were told but that was what they said...Don't shoot the messenger, just relaying what I was told

[QUOTE=Fpmx772;2310647]I believe you heard that from them. I just can't believe that the CEO and COO would use argument like this to defend a complete garbage in order to sell it to their employees. If you don't mind me asking, what was the occasion you heard those statements from the CEO and the COO? It was not in any official communication from the company, as far as I remember. SWA employees don't know anything about it, at least the ones I know. Maybe SWA expressed interest and it was immediately used by our management as a propaganda tool? Anyone has any knowledge about this? Is there any other airline (outside of the TSH 3s) that is using or planning to implement IOCC? I don't think Lufthansa is even using it!

I'm having the same 37:30 issue. Emailed scheduling to no avail whatsoever. I'm glad I have a pretty great line already every month because I would be FURIOUS if I still relied on trip trades to ensure good QOL.
I agree with everyone. The union needs to hammer down on this BS. I don't know what that would look like beyond possibly spiraling out of control into mediation...but SO BE IT.

If I were you I wouldn't be naïve enough to think this is possible. IOCC is a fraction of the cost that Sabre was, or so I've heard, which is why we switched. Southwest is a low cost airline that is always looking at ways to do things cheaper, and with market share tightening its a smart move for them. If your friends don't know they probably aren't in a position to need to know anyways, usually things like that are held close to the chest until they know for sure it's going to happen and they have their ducks in a row. We are apart of a holdings company owned by an individual who is looking on the largest return he can get. Stop thinking like a pilot and start thinking like a business person...
With that being said IOCC is built customizable to the airline, at least that's what my buddy at UPS said. They have been using it for awhile over there and there stuff looks completely different than ours. Trans States bought the bare minimum for the three carriers, I'm guessing UPS didn't, and if SWA went to it they wouldn't either.
