I dont think we will see any voluntary leaves for pilots, maybe one or two but I doubt it. We have already lost almost 30 guys since the 6 were announced. Thats half the staff required for them. Talking to training house folks recently, the only thing "overstaffed" is LAX in-flight. But they dont even have green days. So my guess is we arent overstaffed at all. Just a little less lean than usual

I just realized yesterday that I am on the reserve availability list for LAX, and that LAX is also on my schedule for my entire reserve block, despite the fact that I am not based there. Has this been happening to other people? And does scheduling think I am in LAX or do they have some other list that is actually accurate?
I don't want to say anything because LAX has more people in the silos and I don't want airport ready

That's a dream scenario. Definitely don't say anything. Best case is they can't find you. Or maybe they'll call you out for a crappy trip and then when you show up, you're in your actual base city and they are elbows over *********s trying to figure out what's going on. Happened all the time at my last shop and it was a jolly good time to watch.

That is why there is the 15 minutes after blocking in. You are required to answer the ACARS message when No longer sterile cockpit which is when you block in. You can try to ignore it, but I bet you and your CA get a call from the Chief if you do.

I figured I was good not to be called being in 6 day and people below me. Well 2 hrs later they called with an overnight. I told them I'm in the 6 day silo and I know there people in the 2 & 3. They said, uh ok never mind.
I have heard from several FOs that this has been going on all month. We need to enforce our CBA. Reserves have the right to know where they are in the silos. If they are going to continue to publish a useless list, everyone on reserve should call each morning they are starting a reserve period and ask where they are in the the silo. When they get tired of all the calls maybe they will start publishing a correct list.

What Dooley said...there's provisions for this in the CBA, go read it...the company can see when ACARs are sent and what phase of flight your in
