Not true. We're not talking about the company requiring you to have a password and maybe change it quarterly here (which would be reasonable). I've never seen companies request the ability to remotely encrypt or erase your personal device. If a company or a government wants to fully control your device, they'll provide you with one.

I'm hoping this will be the final say about email permissions. Every company I, my wife, and my friends have ever worked for that uses Outlook for email has required that mobile users consent to the company security measures. This has been true as an engineer, pilot, IT specialist, and software developer. It typically requires that a pass code lock of some kind be used and gives permission for an admin to be able to wipe your device. I have never experienced any problems in all my years of using Outlook. No one has locked me out of my device or wiped my phone.

I'm not saying they would. The situation about the email has already been resolved, it lasted all of about a day. Moving on

Maybe I've missed it, but has there been updates on pilots taking any short term leaves of absence? I still see a lot of critical pay emails and I don't get a feeling we are completely over staffed (according to TSH standards). Does anyone know of a pilot that took a leave?

I dont think we will see any voluntary leaves for pilots, maybe one or two but I doubt it. We have already lost almost 30 guys since the 6 were announced. Thats half the staff required for them. Talking to training house folks recently, the only thing "overstaffed" is LAX in-flight. But they dont even have green days. So my guess is we arent overstaffed at all. Just a little less lean than usual

I believe it's 32 official according to the chief pilot letters. 20 in January and 12 for February since the letter came out around mid February. Last hear say news it's now 38 resignations. So if around 20 a month keeps up after 3 months that should cover for the 6 planes if you use the general rule of thumb for 10 pilots per plane. If anyone has anything more accurate feel free to share because I'm just a guy on the line lol

What I'm saying is that it's standard boiler plate permissions associated with Outlook. Don't like it? Don't use Outlook Mobile.
