17 days off as an example. Only this job provides the flexibility to pick up if you want. I'd rather do this than get overtime by working 40+ hours a week at a McDonalds....

And this company will never be pro-active about resuming upgrades. People love/want green days to drop turns and trips off their schedule. But when someone picks up a dropped turn or trip out of Opentime then thats causing less upgrades.......?

You working on your off days picking up time and a half trips because the company wants to save money by under-staffing an airline does not produce "green days" bud. It undermines the quality of life of every pilot at Compass, but I know you don't care about your fellow pilots, you only care about yourself.

I do care about my fellow pilots. Don't act like you know me. Please...

Stop hurting your fellow pilots, I beseech thee. Don't be a Company lacky! grow a pair, have some pride, Just say NO. For instance, Extended=must be paid @ 1.5 times normal rate or refuse, Open time must be paid @ x2 normal rate, Open time on weekend or junior man must be paid @x3 normal rate. Stop being a stooge, NC laughs her a$$ of every time you and the other stooges call in to save their tail at SOC, this is too easy they tell themselves, Jaysus H Christ they had to send an email to the entire group the other day to say STOP calling/emailing us, the seat supports are covered, Sheesh.

The ability to pick up or drop trips, or partial trips is a big benefit for us to be able to control our QOL. Try working at a place that does not have this and see how much people complain about their schedules.

It benefits everyone. Senior people can drop stuff to make it easier to commute and the bottom line holders can pick up stuff to get rid of reserve days or just build a more desirable schedule.

Saying that people picking up open time is preventing upgrades is not accurate. If no one picked up a trip they would just assign them to reserves. The reserves generally only get 35-40hrs/ month so they can do them.

When critical trips are not being picked up and they have to cancel flights, then maybe they will realize they are short of crews.

What I haven't figured out, it will down load any new emails, but when I added the account it does not show older emails that I can see when I log in via outlook on the iPad.
I have to take this back.
Today the company server sent me a message that I need to update my security settings to allow admin access like stated above. No way I'm doing that.
I heard some people use the Office 365 app on android. I will try that.

Same behavior for me. I set up company email via Gmail, and just now received a notification that the company server requests remote administrator access to my phone. It wants to be able to do about a dozen actions, the best one being remotely erasing the device without warning. You can guess my answer to that

I don't think the Office365 app will help. I already got this behavior on Outlook and Gmail apps. This is clearly a server issue. Now I just wonder if it's somebody's mistake in configuring something, or the company really wants to do this.

Why is everything at this company just a pain in everyone's a$$?

For what it's worth, Outlook is letting me run it again without changing my security settings or making it a device administrator. Don't know how long it'll last but it works right now like it did before yesterday

Don't want to put the email address here. Just search "hotels" in outlook and it'll show you the email address. Try to send it with as much notice as you can go guarantee a room is available.
