I love seeing all of the a/c with wifi inop. I think I've had 1-2 that actually didn't work. Almost always there's nothing wrong. When I've had one stop, do a power reset and it worked just fine after that. These people who don't try that probably think FOQA will tattle on them (Sarcasm). There should be a QRH reset like a breaker reset like we have for other issues. Would probably eliminate several issues. And why do we defer stuff if the QRH clears the issue? I can understand if it's reoccurring. I've heard that no one else does it this way. We're the only company.

I had a bleed fail in flight, performed the QRH and it reset/cleared itself. On the ground called MX, and they had us defer it anyway. So it does happen sometimes I suppose.

Bleed fails, even if they clear with a QRH procedure, require Mx to come out to look through the CMC to determine why it failed. If you're at an outstation they will almost always defer as opposed to calling contact Mx just to look through the CMC.

I am curious as to how the company can spin it that switching to Lufthansa was a cost saving idea. Besides the fact that we had a "successful" changeover now and Lufthansa still doesn't support base bidding, vacation bidding, training bidding, and that we will still have to use PBS for schedule bidding.

So the question is: who called us a distressed airline? What's the story there?

Additional full time manpower that had to be added to run the system as well

Latest memo basically wants us to give them a cookie for doing their job at a half ass level. I flew on the second day. It was not "successful". Save it.
