I don't like how management is spinning this. Truth is there is no solid plan for growth or more airplanes yet and there's nothing on the horizon either.
They said in the conference call that the earliest we could see new flying would be next summer. Nobody loses airplanes in 2016 and at the current hiring craze environment. Nobody. So let's be real and not sugarcoat the impact losing these 6 will have on the junior pilot group.
As a matter of fact, other regionals are growing, adding airplanes and adding Hubs. We're lucky to have such a young pilot group who's moving on and don't choose to be lifers or we'd be stagnating.
They said MSP was going to be affected the most. Watch what happens when all the Captains that are there now that used to be in LAX start bidding back LAX because of the decreased flying and them being put back on reserve. The bottom 30-40 Captains in LAX will be going on endless reserve. There will never be enough lines for them to ever hold one, unless we get more flying.
I wonder how long the company has known about this....

Did anyone else see in the CBT for the new IOCC that picking up open-time is now an 11 step process! Hmm I foresee this new system working out really well.
Also did anyone else not get an email from the password reset when they tried to log in the first time?
