Yeah sorry, I meant the normal monthly call a week ago or whatever, they were talking about how everything's going in for paint before the summer too and continuing to do NGI and heavy checks. Basically no spare airplanes til the summer (when it will all fall apart).. Certainly that's got to be factored into our MX performance too when we never have any spare airplanes..

It is. So after we lose the 6 170s we will have 56 airplanes (I think) for right around 800 pilots. Other airlines have been plagued by staffing issues (express, republic, air wisconsin, go jet and others) which makes me wonder why we are getting rid of airplanes that are properly staffed. The name of the game right now is getting pilots on property and covering the flying. Certainly Delta realizes this..

True but also the contract expired. The 6 E170s were the black sheep of the fleet. Maybe the plan was always to let the contract expire and move them to a big E170 operator such a Shuttle America. That is the only logical reason I can see Delta doing this. Especially when we haven't had staffing issues.

Actually, "the meeting was interesting to say the least" is the correct quote. But then again, you wouldnt know since you dont work for Compass.
The truth is those planes were under a separate contract. This isnt koolaid info, its a fact. They were not part of the original northwest/delta fleet plans.

Pretty strong words coming from a guy who drinks the Endeavor koolaid like a fish...
