Haha sometimes it just doesn't hurt to have a valid, verifiable, excuse ready in your back pocket.

Ok thanks I appreciate the suggestions. I considered that but thought there might be a simpler way, guess not

safe to say longer than LAX. in Nov there were 49 lines in SEA and 21 reserve FOs. If you are the bottom pilot, you will need almost half the line holders to upgrade or leave.

but then again, if you live in SEA, sitting home on reserve would not be bad.

I'll be commuting 😕. They told us in orientation 1-2 months, and I talked to another guy who was hired this summer that said he only sat rsv for a month in SEA. But things change fast, or they were just blowing smoke in orientation??

Things do change fast, and on top of that, I wouldn't use oct/nov for reference since the block hours have been way down due to the airplanes going through heavy check... not sure if that is a factor for december still but I'm pretty sure it was for november.

Good to know, thanks! Fingers crossed and we'll see where it sits mid Jan when I finish training!

There's quite a few DL birds that still have to go through BNA for the NGI mods

Compass is such a joke!!! Their hiring department acts like they are Delta Mainline when they are looking for canidates. They need to realize they are a regional not a major.

If you can't spell "canidate" correctly then that's probably the reason you didn't get hired here. They're a regional but they don't need to hire that many a month, I'm sorry if you didn't get hired but I don't think trashing Compass in this thread because you didn't get hired shows a level of maturity that would be... desirable.

Oooo, please read the union hotline on that subject... not sure why you'd bring it up randomly, but OK.

Edit: funny how dolphinssuck and Oooo always seem to post within 10 minutes of each other. Don't feed the trolls, I guess.

Didn't get hired? Compass is the last few holding out for actual hiring standards.
To add, we were owned by Delta and had their hiring process not to long ago. I can't blame them for sticking to what they know.

Plus 1 for this, and its the main reason I chose CP over other regionals! The hiring process felt like I was at a major, and I was very relieved to get the CJO! As others have mentioned, sorry you didn't get hired, but I for one appreciate CP's professionalism and standards!
