As of right now, it seems we are a little bit fat on the CA side. Looking at LAX over the past few months, we have seen an overall decrease in the number of lines, probably due to less block hours for the reasons stated before (planes being down for heavy checks/install of new interiors). Even though attrition is high and forecasted to stay high, we are more than properly staffed in LAX. According to PBS for the month of November, we are showing almost 50 RSV lines. That's something I've never seen before.
The last bid was for November CA awards. I'm thinking it's going to come out Nov 9 for the next one.

Vacancy for december just came out and there are no upgrades? that seems a bit odd does anyone have any insight into why this might be? maybe because they are backed up from November?

There are numerous factors at play here.
1. Airplanes down for heavy checks
2. airplanes down for new interiors
3. summer schedule flying is over, maybe less flying. slightly
4. (an unknown variable) sim availability
5. CA side is a little fat as someone said earlier. We are not overstaffed, but we have run thinner than this as of recently. Hopefully we will see proper staffing levels/green days across the board soon.
With that being said, the need for upgrades due to attrition is likely outweighed by the first 3 factors I listed for THIS vacancy. My guess is the next vacancy will be back to normal as attrition plays catch up.

It appears that all the FAI flying is built out of SEA as three days trips. Thoughts on this? Despite it being bad credit seems more tolerable...

I felt like this was gonna happen. But the upgrade gravy train is not stopping. Just in case anyone was worried.

Uhhhhhh, what? More airplanes? Pump the brakes a little. Not to be devils advocate here but unless something gets snuck into that TA, there is no expansion fo 76 seaters coming. Everything Iv read so far shows them not touching the scope.
However, if we do get more airplanes, it would be nice to have them in MSP. I just dont see it unless scope in the delta TA is changed. Personally, it would be great if they held the line on scope. Might mean no growth here, but overall a better environment for pilots.

You must have not listened to the last conference call. We are actively pursuing new airplanes from the 2.3 billion dollar acquisition of 76-seaters Delta will make. Endeavor is opening a JFK base which will shrink their MSP operations. The Delta MEC has already agreed to amending the scope clause, otherwise Delta wouldn't be spending the 2.3 billion, and I do think their new TA will pass soon. Furthermore, remember that we are also in the process of obtaining over water certification as requested by AA. It's not a rumor, it's a fact. At some point the Caribbean flying may come. You can fact check all this by just reading the daily digest from Alpa on your inbox.

Well they could always fly them at mainline. But for us to fly them yes, scope needs to be adjusted as I understand it. If the new TA has no changes to current 76 seat scope ( I think they wanted to accelerate retirement of 50 seaters for new 76 seaters, 2 for 1 or so), then there isnt a way for us to get more DL planes until that does change, or they come from another regional carrier.
