Believe it when you see it and it's in place.

what? we operate under a CBA.
the only thing I can think is maybe you mean training contract (there is none.).
But if you're asking about our CBA, it becomes amendable Nov 2019 and then if we can't reach a TA goes to mandatory binding arbitration by Oct 1 2020 with a resolution required by Dec 2020.

I was there in July/Aug. They said they were going to change the 2 weeks of CBT to 3 or 4 weeks. That is a good thing, it takes a lot of time to go through it all and take the tests. Maybe someone in a more recent class can confirm if they changed it.

I would plan on more than 6 weeks from start of in class training to start of IOE. more like 8 weeks because sims and IPTs have had schedule changes lately. One guy in my class has had his LOE changed 3 times.

Yes you have days offs. contract says you have to have 2 off in every 7. first 3 weeks are Mon-Fri,Sat/Sun off. then you will get a schedule for the IPT and Sims, you get to bid on the schedules offered the class. there will be weekends in those.
hint- partner with the senior pilot and you get your first choice.
(yes, they let you pick your own sim partner.)

Hotel is single occupancy at the Extended Stay 1 mile from training center. Nothing around there. about 20 minute walk there is a shopping center. Room has a kitchen so you can save money by not having to eat out. But there is no bus around there so time off is pretty boring unless someone in your class has a car. Unless you pay for Uber, only way to go some place was take the hotel shuttle to the airport and then take the train. I did that when I had some days off.

you can PM me if you have more questions

Point is, both airlines treat their regionals very differently. There's zero comparison.
Ah, you again. I first read the post, then thought, is this Alaska? Delta is usually the leader. American, and United are following them. And it was American that was playing catchup to the Delta's agreement with Endeavor. They will again step up to beat the American wholly owned regionals. You're still jaded, I see

My orientation is in 3 weeks. I'll find out about the CBTs then and will update.

Oh yeah I was thinking training contract. Sorry log day of ready reserve.

On another note, I heard we were going back to hiring 40 a month. I guess we will see but if true, sounds like they are preparing for the mass exodus this fall/winter.

I don't understand why this argument repeatedly comes up. You said it yourself - it's meant to keep people on property. If it went away so would 500 pilots...
