Too many guys trying to "John Wayne" it out on the line. Just conduct your business by the book and everything will be fiiiiiiiiine.
Thanks Grant. I think we got everything ironed out yesterday.

Any other numbers out there that will move the salary +/- that I didn't list above?

At least 3rd year Captain pay has some breathing room (if upgrade time stays the same).

Thanks!
That's the family coverage rate I believe. If you are married to a working spouse, it may be worth going onto their insurance. When we compared the insurance offered here compared to my spouse's, it was a no-brainer to have her carry the coverage. Much cheaper, with lower deductibles, and better coverage.

Also note that our retirement benefits are pathetic. Very. It's through Empower Retirement, formerly Great West, one of the worst companies in the employer-sponsored retirements industry. They offer only a small choice of funds to choose from. Additionally, and even worse, the expense ratios that Empower charges are extremely high. If you want use index investing, the best option imo, be advised that the expense ratios for basic index funds run a full 12x higher than what Vanguard is charging for vastly superior index funds I invest in for my IRA. That can amount to many tens of thousands, even well into six figures, of dollars lost by retirement age fyi, with nothing gained by you paying that extra money. Thanks TSH.

Dress nicely. Show up early. Smile. Pass the tests. Tell them you would tell your captain he should follow the rules and take pride in his profession and wear his hat.

A regional is giving you the opportunity to interview. You have already been given the job.

Default Most Junior captain

You know it'll be asked.

The most junior captain awarded on the latest vacancy award was hired 1/29/2015. So about 1.5 years.

Not the most junior captain on property. Just the most junior guy who was able to bid for and award captain this last vacancy bid.

I do think this is the new Norm now.

Anyone have knowledge or experience commuting to MSP from ATL.....looks like I'll have an interview lined up soon and want to make sure this is a do-able commute.
I've looked at the number of flights and open seats on Delta website and passrider for other flights but I can't see standbys and I don't know how Compass falls in the pecking order for Delta seats.
Been out of the 121 game for 2 years but looks like a perfect time to get back in and stay.

It's doable, but you'll be fighting a large number of Delta commuters who will have higher priority than yourself.

Little known fact. There's a nonstop ATL-RST flight if you get into a pinch.
