Compass Updates - Saga Continues
Yeah they better have some timeline figured out for getting long call back for FOs and lowering the floor if they are gonna slow hiring because they are supposed to properly staff the airline per the CBA. obviously not defined, but also obviously not the current state of affairs

This 85 hour floor thing is getting ridiculous. I really hope the union is doing something about this violation of the CBA. Apparently we are properly staffed hence cutting back classes yet we have 85 hours still. It's almost like they are just okay with keeping it permanently.

Can someone PLEASE call them out on the employee call tomorrow about the 85 hours? Ask them why they are slowing hiring while the floors remain at 85 hours. If we feel we are well enough staffed, the floors must be lowered to the contractual agreement. They can’t decide to slow hiring while keeping the floors raised. It makes no sense.
I advise everyone to reach out to ALPA and get them looking into this.

Unfortunately I’m flying during the call but would love to grill them about staffing. It really is unacceptable, especially now that they are able to fill classes.
Captains, this could become your problem, too. I wouldn’t be surprised if CA floors are raised pretty soon because of a CA shortage in the early fall.
1. I hope that in the awkward “any other questions?” moment of silence, one of you will speak up and grill them about the staffing plan, before a 70 year old FA decides to tell a 15 minute story and waste the opportunity.
2. Your Union will listen to your input but you need to show you’re serious. The more people that contact the MEC, the higher they will put the staffing issue on their list. Contact your MEC (log in first) at http://cpz.alpa.org/ContacttheMEC/tabid/10501/Default.aspx it takes 2 minutes.
