I sweat, my whole family sweats, my brother even got Botox in his armpits because he sweats. I don't put up with stingy captains, I ask them nicely to put it on asap because pretty soon the cockpit will be soaked in 3 inches of poor FO sweat, the worst kind of sweat.

I’ve never understood why some people are so stingy with the APU. Poor FAs and Pax boiling in the pack. 20 minutes to push “Can we please get some air it’s so hot.” Captain was like well it’s still 20 minutes to go and we need the fuel. I’ll turn it on in 10. I’m just like wtf. The other day FA asked if I can turn the apu on. Captain was gone. Yep no problem. Cranked it 25 prior. Gonna really need that’s extra 60 pounds of fuel alright...
If your captain won’t turn it on, stare at him or her directly in the eyes, reach over and crank dat soulja boy. Then ask if they would like the fuel truck back out for that extra 30 lbs to be put back on... after all that’s almost 3nm of range!

While literally underessing, of course. I doubt you will make it to the 3rd button on your shirt before the awkwardness/shock alone makes the left seat sauna jockey scramble for that APU.

That said a good FO gets the fuel truck to put an extra 250 lbs on so that captain is sweatin' about burning the 50 lbs to get down to the release number and you can get that sweet, sweet cold air.
