I got a JM call the morning after just finishing another JM assignment that was tacked on the end of a previous trip. I got home after midnight (was supposed to be home at 1430) and was finally asleep sometime after 0100 when my phone started ringing at 0500 for another JM call. They have no shame. Let a guy sleep after a 12 hour FDP.

Ok so here’s my most recent ja call.
So I was scheduled to work three days of reserve... Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Amazingly they give me a three day trip for the stretch.
On Friday I just finished a turn and was preflighting for the leg to the overnight when scheduling calls. Hey captain, we need you to head over to the abq flight and take that. They’re all boarded and ready to go. Oh and you’ll work one leg tomorrow then we’ll give you a day off on Sunday.
Eff yeah!
So I do the overnight and on the way back I’m expecting An acars anytime. It never comes. Block in and I bolt. My phone finally comes on and I have a voicemail from scheduling telling me they had some flying for me on Sunday. The hell you do. My schedule shows me off and free from duty.
So I go hang out in the crew room for a bit (bobbyLee, saw your spouse in the crew room... she didn’t say hi. That hurt) then fly home.
Anyway, I get two more calls. One that night, then they finally realized they messed up and gave me a day off and they called me in the morning to ja me into it.
I’m still at home.

For the love of GOD can we turn on the APU / packs its summer.
Some people wont turn it on until a few minutes before we close even if everyone is sweating like a sauna.

I’ve never understood why some people are so stingy with the APU. Poor FAs and Pax boiling in the pack. 20 minutes to push “Can we please get some air it’s so hot.” Captain was like well it’s still 20 minutes to go and we need the fuel. I’ll turn it on in 10. I’m just like wtf. The other day FA asked if I can turn the apu on. Captain was gone. Yep no problem. Cranked it 25 prior. Gonna really need that’s extra 60 pounds of fuel alright...
