I love FPA, and it’s amazing how many people don’t understand it or use it. It’s a great tool! And I would stand my ground with whomever “MM” is. I’ll keep an eye out for those initials next time in the school house.

Also whom ever was asking about the referral bonus; yes you get an email back from one of the ACPs saying it was received and is being processed.

I got a voicemail the other week telling me I had been junior assigned and this was my 2 hour callout. I was 6,000 miles away from base at the beginning of three weeks off. Fools.

I mostly use VS in cruise. I use FPA being vectored off the arrival and mostly in the terminal area to match up with the GS. It’s a great tool. 3.0 GS, set 4.0 and you know you’ll intercept it. Works great.

Gotta hand it to BW in scheduling for still coming up with clever emails.

Yeah I like FPA. It’s usually a game with myself to make a constant descent with no level offs and minimal boards, but that’s hard to do in lax when they want you at 2600’ and take you half way to Palmdale on the downwind.

Seriously what's the deal with that. Already got 3 bad wake turbulence events on the base to final into 24L because the straight in traffic is usually a couple thousand feet higher at that point and you just fly right into it. I usually try and take a calm descent from Cliffy but often times they'll yell to expedite to 2600 and then have you on a 20 mile downwind.

I'm just paranoid because of all the disclaimers that say you're screwed if you don't get it in on time.

I've submitted both the FO 0101 and FO 0102 paperwork. Within a couple of days one of the ACPs acknowledged receipt for the FO 0101. After a week of no response, resubmitted FO 0102 and got a response.


If you don't hear back from an ACP after a week, resubmit.

I try and make it a slow descent for the same reason, and I've been told "expedite to 2,600". And we are already past downtown LA, traffic on final is higher than us at that point. I don't understand why they want that.
