Yes. But I'm thinking another Comair, Colgan or AA into Cali, Colombia style accident.

You guys have issues with CS not canceling your deadheads? It’s because they’re spending their time canceling all the deadheads I need at the last moment


Also here’s a great reason to wear the hat: Compass is paying you to, among other things, wear the hat. Yeah, the hat seems stupid, but so does saying “six for seven” every time a you head a ding in the cockpit. This place is giving me the money I need to live the life I have, I can suck it up and wear a hat for that. Want to wine about the hat? Maybe don’t apply to a hat airline and complain about the hat every other week.

Or showing up for my dh per my schedule in IOCC only to find that flight left two hours earlier. No joke. I have no idea how they came up with the time listed IOCC. It wasn't even close. When I called they had no idea either!

They make you watch while the mechanics do a gear swing while they make nasty remarks about how terrible pilots are.

I'm pretty sure FOQA data is protected and it's just a heads up to you but you may want to email ALPA and ask them.

This. If the airline is paying me to dress a certain way, I will. No need to draw attention to myself in a negative manner by sticking out.

Personally I'm not crazy about the hat, but I'll wear it because them's the rules the company wants me to operate by. Just like re-checking the takeoff configuration every time I drop the parking brake while waiting to go. It might seem silly, but I would rather do things right and not give the company a reason to be upset with me rather than try to do something else because I don't feel like it. The day I strike it rich and win my own personal 175, you better believe I won't wear a hat while flying it or pushing the takeoff configuration check button more than once a departure, though.

Or getting scheduled for a deadhead that doesn't exist. Yeah you can't just change the city pairing from SEA-LAX to LAX-SEA and expect a Delta plane with the same flight number to be there at the same time...

in all fairness we would have lost the Fairfield at some point anyway...for some reason. I'd honestly be shocked if we aren't back at the HI in the next six months.
