Compass Updates - Saga Continues
It's a valid personal choice of course, as long as the junior people know what they are getting in to. Hopefully they research it enough to make an informed decision.
Which demonstrates a fundamental difference in outlook. For most people at Compass it's a milestone on a journey. For many people in other regionals, the regional itself is their intended destination. For whatever reason they are content to homestead and clog up the pathway to advancement of those behind them - unless of course the junior people are willing to go to very undesirable bases under abysmal reserve rules.

Got some good laughs here today! Who said this place is all negative?
Also, BLS, I 3rd what you say. As captain you have a lot of ability to make an impression with what you say and how you phrase it. From crew and ATC to passengers. We can all be heroes

Looks like AA has announced where the 15 175s and CRJ900s are going....
AA wholly owned companies.
Again when people were saying that the 20 currently flying for AA had been rumored to disappear earlier, circumstances were different. I think that they will go like the TSA and Expressjet birds, once their CPA is about to expire it will not be renewed.
Just one opinion, I'd like to be proven wrong, but I look at the industry, evaluate and speculate based on trends.

Welp, we had 5 minutes of fun, back to gloom and doom y’all.
When *exactly* does each of our contracts expire? Assuming no renewals

But we did get them and our performance is consistently the best of any of their 7 regionals. Winning their performance awards left and right
One should never assume. In fact, you can seek approval for outside commercial flying, and pure 91 flying is approved. Part 91 legs for a certificate holder, will require you to report the time for legalities and never be unavailable, if approved (pending staffing).
