We're not really behind the staffing curve anymore, just the training curve. They've had classes of 10. Ask a recruiter. That said if y'all scare them off...

Usually places anticipate the resources (time, instructors, facilities etc) required to train employees. The current state of affairs appears to be an afterthought on all levels- standard TSH thinking.
Oh we're going to need more pilots!
Oh look we're also going to need to figure out how to train all these pilots!
If the trend continues with no one being held accountable for these actions, what crisis are they going to be surprised by next?
Obviously we know it's going to be something where, poor planning on their part doesn't constitute an emergency on ours, but eventually somewhere down the line, the emergency will become our problem.

If butts aren't in seats flying does it really matter if it's getting them in the door or spun up to fly?
