I would too. Good info though for any prospective pilots considering their options.

If I was looking for employment with a regional today, I'd focus on the wholly owned ones.

To simply short haul operations they are cutting TSA. Will Compass be next?
Wow, definitely not a good sign. Glad we have a COO to lead us through the future, oh wait.

The article, and also the AA company newsletter, states that they are going down to 7 carriers, so it looks like Compass is safe...for now.

“The airline will continue to review its regional partners.” That’s in the Bloomberg article... doesn’t look so good for Compass in the future.

The point is regional airline consolidation is real and is starting to happen.

It seems from the reasoning, I dont see why they would renew our contract. If they want a seamless customer experience, why would they want a situation where they have OO and CP operating out of lax side by side. In general, it looks like the regionals are going to consolidate. They found out this year for 2019 contracts. I'm sure we will know what's gonna happen to us later this year or next spring.

I definitely dont buy BGs carrot dangling, "best thing we all can do is be a top performer," .... we? You're retiring conveniently lol

What's the best outcome for the pilots here if American decides not to renew Compass's contract? Cross their fingers for more Delta flying? Do we just end up grossly overstaffed? The exodus begins and people start at the bottom elsewhere or get hired as street captains on reserve for eternity?

Asking because my interview is coming up this week and, well, I'm taking a hard look at this.
