Edited because "n't" being absent completely change the tone of my post.

Glad we get access to WSI, but I find it a big league short coming that we can’t use it in flight.

Having some big picture situational awareness on weather systems, especially T-storms, would be beneficial to safety. Same goes for turbulence, then we can warn the FAs and pax.

Let us use the company iPad to access WiFi inflight to get weather data for situational awareness. Passengers could be more up to date on the weather than the flight crew at this rate. #SAD

Honestly I thought that was the plan all along. Kinda surprised we can only use it before a flight, and with a day full of quick turns with no wifi it's practically useless. I'm just gonna keep using my phone and get the weather how I usually do. Glad we have the money to spend on something like this, maybe Hulas is trying to inflate the operating costs so Delta will pay more when they buy us in Q1 2019 you heard it here first.

week I’ve heard that (ability to use inflight) is still the plan for the future. We shall see though.

Maybe your theory is more accurate lol

Definitely not trying to start (or stoke) any rumors or speculation here, but has anyone else noticed Skywest flights using flight numbers in the "Compass" flight number range the last couple of months? I heard a Skywest 5712 or something like that yesterday. That doesn't mean we're giving our flying away, does it?

Well it did for Endeavor. Lots of flights out of Minnie and Detroit have the flight numbers in the 3000 range, but now Skywest is doing them.

Both of us trade routes sometimes, pretty sure that comes from Daddy D. Our block hours have remained pretty consistent from what I can tell, so it's not like they are taking actual flying away. We're doing the same out of SLC with routes I suppose they had at one point. The ALPA newsletters have pairing analysis that give you a sign of how the flying is shifting.
