Someone has posted before we have more sits now because of low staffing so supposedly if staffing levels increase the trips will become more efficient once again. The good news is most new hires should gain quick seniority so you most likely won't do those nasty trips for too long.
Thanks for the input! Good to know what to "brace" oneself for on ugly side of things. Looking at Flightaware, those SEA-PSC, SEA-GEG, etc, are not representative of the majority of flights Compass does, which is a plus...

Then I make sure those boards go up so I can make my commute home in 30 minutes.

Bobby you crack me up. 😂
I'm not Bobby, though. Unless you meant to quote him and accidentally quoted me. Bobby always cracks me up, too.

can it? I was seriously considering Compass, but holy cow! Almost as bad as flying cargo... Things any better at LAX?
I find most of my trips are in the 4:30-5:15 average credit each day. Usually the longer trips work out to more credit. I'm pretty middle of the road in seniority (granted it's in LAX). Granted, I have had a random day trip that was 3:15 block, so 4:00 min day credit a few months ago. Not sure why they couldn't either give me more flying that day or put that trip as a victory lap on someone else's trip who had a "one and done" leg for go home day to make things more efficient from a staffing perspective.

I will second what others have said about the trips being made somewhat more inefficient than they used to be to cover flying due to our staffing levels. When we get more people online, they should be able to build the trips with some more efficiency like we used to see. Not sure exactly HOW efficient that will be since route structures change, but I wouldn't be surprised if schedules get better in the upcoming months (assuming we get enough people online to not be short-staffed).

Specific ones they flew or just the N numbers operated by CPZ?

Make them up. Sometimes I can't remember what ship it was so my go to is 200NN. I don't think SouthernJet Air Lines will care about the tail numbers. Then again it is SouthernJet....

Have any other non-California resident received a notice from the state of California that states Compass provided the state with information that makes them believe they are supposed to file an income tax return with Cali for a previous year? I received a notice stating that California thinks I must file a 2016 (not 2017) Cali tax return, yet I've never received such a notice for all the other years I've been LAX based but not lived in the state. So..what the he!!...

Am I really expected to pay taxes for the state I reside in as well as in California, IE double my taxes?!

I believe the answer is that you have to pay taxes in the state where you are working, which is the one where you are based, so if you are based in CA you have to pay CA taxes.... you will not have to pay taxes where you resides, only where you work/ based.
I don’t believe there is a way around that.... but maybe a good CPA will know some tricks i’m not aware of
