they’re not going to get any new hires unless they keep their current pilots happy.
Want me to refer a pilot to compass? Minimum days off every month plus 9 frantic schedule reassignments per trip plus raised floors plus throttled upgrades is going to make me tell pilots to steer clear.
Unless compass/ TSH immediately do something aggressive to get pilots in the door right now, this place is going to get exponentially worse and recruiting is going to get exponentially harder. Eventually we will begin canceling and delaying for staffing, then even you guys sitting around the speakerphone in Minneapolis will be looking for jobs because your failure to act made our partners drop us.
Also, would it kill to throw an extra $2 an hour at your SOC people? The 40 people that make the entire airline run? Since your decision to switch to awful software and stop hiring is causing them to work twice as hard with half as much resources ?

Can Somebody post the FO pay scale down to the pennies. And designate whether it includes the last adjustment on January 1. Also, are they paying per diem during training now because it is all out of domicile (per the contract) Thanks

Not sure about the per diem. I'd imagine you get per diem the whole time, not sure how'd they get around that.

I mean, I'd assume they have to since they don't even HAVE a permanent base assignment until the vacancy award comes out. And at that point when will the effective date of the award be?
Id assume they can still make them msp based. Thus no per diem.

don't have the contract in front of me... Can they base an employee somewhere that doesn't have a pilot base?

You do not...
I had this issue a few years back when I upgraded into LA, specifically there is a CA tax code that allows employees in the transportation industry, specifically pilots and FA's, to not file CA income taxes if the following exist:
If you fly during the whole tax year more than 50 % of your flying inside the state lines of California you are required to file, if not, you are good and don't need to file. If for some reason you get a request like I and many others did, do some digging, on the googs, it's not too hard to find. I called the state tax office and told them about my situation and that more than 50% of my flying was outside state lines, and they took me off the list. In rare occurrences from one other CPZ guy I've heard them ask for copies of your logbook...
If anything go look it up before hand in case anything has changed, but it sounds like from a few friends it hasn't...not based in Cali anymore
Hope that helps...

As for thethrottling to 8 upgrades a month...what a joke. And they wonder why FO attrition is so high. Can’t wait until we start running out of FOs and CAs. Can’t wait to leave this place.
