Wow. That sucks. Though I'd give up all of my bonuses for a raise that wasn't embarrassing....but I digress.

Actually if your reading comprehension were better, you'd see it was the opposite. Don't be so sensitive.

I wonder if he was kicked out of the OO forums and now just wanders page to page looking for something to say about OO to people who weren’t talking about OO

PSA does profit sharing and offers retention and signing bonuses. Profit sharing is longer term, just like retention bonuses are. TSH is just looking to staff now, in a similar way to crew scheduling looking to fix immediate problems rather than having better long term planning.

I think what needs to be addressed is TSH could have opted for profit sharing, which would have benefited current employees as well as new hires, but since they don't value people on property, they choose the new hire bonuses instead. That way you entice people to come, but you're not increasing your expenses as much over time...the bonus can be terminated at any time, where a negotiated benefit is harder to remove.

The referral bonus is a bet that they won't have to pay 100% of what they advertise is available. Sure someone CAN make $10k per person, but that's if and only if both the new employee and current employee stay with the company. Should the referring employee leave, the company stops paying out, as they do if the person you refer leaves.
