Have 2 friends who applied who both have interviews set up. Lots of time in plane and over 1000 TPIC.

"Aviation Career Planning 101". What a tough degree... go earn your ratings (with in house certification, not even FAA checkrides...) and get a degree out of the deal. Tell me that's more qualified than someone with a masters degree in an actual academic science...
Going for a degree in the field shows that they have always been focused on this career. A 4 year degree spent studying aviation is worth more than a PHD in unrelated crap. I’m sure your masters in your academic science started with “college readiness 101”.
Yes aviation degrees are easy but that’s because it’s all relevant and useful stuff that you’re excited to learn, and you do learn a lot of useful info in the field. The degree is there to create professional pilots and send them out with as much useful knowledge in the field that they can have. The majors appreciate that.

Also, I’ve had FAA and those “in-house” checkrides, the in-house were always 3x harder than the FAA rides, and the 141 training was much more challenging and thorough than any Part 61 stuff I encountered.

IMHO, I agree, no 23 year old fool deserves a mainline call without putting some serious time and resume effort in at the regionals, and any that do make it should realize their luck and be very humble and grateful.

But ripping on an aviation degree?Ridiculous.

Besides, what are we, FA’s? Since when do airline pilots squabble about he said she said

Dude, you might be right... PhD programs are pretty hard, but I'm not sure they care. When I was at the Delta fair, they only cared about my ERAU worldwide GPA from 10 yrs ago! I was like really? So you might be right.

They still haven't called... Maybe I shouldn't have told them I was hoping to get a 73 type for SWA and trying to confirm if there was a training contract. Oops!

Best of luck to Marlon. Met him in the LAX crew room and he is one of the nicest, most hilarious guys you ll meet. I am very happy for him and his endeavors. When people like that, as young as they are, have gotten to Delta, I m happy for them.

Maybe instead of ripping, the congrats are in order and time to look at ourselves to see how we can get to where he is. Something we should all strive for. Regardless of how I feel personally, good for him.

RE the flaps issue: thank you to the Captains who say "your leg, you fly how you want to, and I will only step in if its unsafe or you ask for help". Experience is a hell of a teacher. Special thanks to the 2 of you who have let me get into a spot where I needed advice and how to correct it.

I was wondering when the dithering and confusion would come back. I was not disappointed.

I’m happy for them even though I’m way older and been flying longer than both. I have even asked the former CPZ one who I know for advice because I want to be like them. Maybe you should too. I thought I was done with forums but when someone sent me this today I opened a new account just for you to show our pilot group your true colors. I hope this post you made helps you to land the mainline Job you so desire

P.S. get your facts right they were both FOs for 2 years and also you’re a hypocrite for making screenshots from his FB page if I was him I’d delete you.

End of Rant
Thats super not cool man! Even the most dramatic queen bee flight attendent wont do this. Bet you just had a miserable 5 days with him and created a new APC account and post screen shot to attack our fellow pilot. Do you really have to post his name here to make your point?
At least Jason keep that rant on his own social network. People like you we cant have good stuff!
Bet in the future people just screenshot private group stuff and post up here.
