Yeah, you'll see in avg about $150-$175 pre-tax added to your advance paycheck once every 3 months depending on how good our performance was. The max we can earn in a quarter is $300 if we meet all the metrics, although I don't think that's ever happened. The amount is trending up though. This is our version of "profit sharing".

It has been going on for quite a while. Wouldn't surprise me if it has been since the beginning. It was on the first contract and I don't think it was a LOA. Keep in mind Compass was created out of the Northwest Bankruptcy and had the same MEC until the Delta Merger. Not a whole lot of profit sharing back in '07.

back to the guaranteed interview thing...
Why is it assumed to be such a discriminatory factor whether or not you interviewed under the old system (pre-summer 2015) that mirrored the delta process? I could see why it would be a factor in allowing pilots to flow... But we're talking about a guaranteed INTERVIEW, not a guaranteed JOB. We'll still have to actually INTERVIEW at Delta and do it all their way anyway, right? Why the fuss on whether or not the hoop has been jumped through before?

Simply because Delta says so, and they can ask/demand whatever they want. You have to also see it from the point of view that - an interview at Delta is really a job offer that is yours to lose.

Option 1: There are only so many interview slots and you want to fill it with people you believe will succeed, ie you already want to hire the person if you called them in for an interview. Given that its guaranteed interview they can't screen "for the right stuff" in your resume like an OTS interviewee. OTS interviewee probably did a job fair or had rec's or other "right stuff" qualifications. So to give the best possible chance for interviewee, Delta believes people who past the "right stuff" tests are the same as the OTS "right stuffers" and all their job fairs and rec's.
Option 2: Its completely random to require the tests and Delta just likes to keep people on their toes. Who knows....

If the rumor that this agreement is coming is even true, I would guess something to that effect exists but I guess we'll have to see.

So nothing is in writing. However if I were to guess a "hypothetical" delta guaranteed interview program, requiring the tests, the reasoning might be as follows:
Option 1: There are only so many interview slots and you want to fill it with people you believe will succeed, ie you already want to hire the person if you called them in for an interview. That's assuming such a program actually amounts to more than a c#&@tease from Delta followed by a TBNT. Unless there's some sort of language written into whatever agreement we end up getting that forces them to take a certain number of us, I definitely wouldn't equate a "guaranteed interview" with a "job offer that is yours to lose."
