Maybe in the next round of contract negotiations we can tighten up the loose end in the contract. Til then, the company can request a note at anytime. BTW, I wouldn't discount fact that a CP will possibly be hanging around Nashville during the WIA conference. I wouldn't call in sick to go to the conference.

When the Company requires a Pilot to furnish a physician’s certificate verifying an illness or injury, pursuant to Section 14.H., and upon investigation it is determined that a sick call was legitimate, the Company shall reimburse the Pilot for the doctor visit.
edit: What if you broke and arm or something serious? That's going to be expensive.

Have been to a few and have never been asked that. And if you're walking around and a CP happens to know who you are, you got bigger problems.

Wouldn't be that hard to print out pictures of people who called in sick over the weekend and are suspicious. I'm betting the chiefs have more important things to do however.

I'm laughing at the fact they anticipate a spike in sick calls over WIA. This isn't the Super Bowl or a holiday or something! They actually think we have enough pilots here that would risk a sick call to attend a job fair?? Not a brilliant idea.
I find that email somewhat insulting to be honest. And completely unfair to the pilots who actually do get sick, have family/life emergencies, etc. If you are sick this weekend please do not hesitate to call in!! I've seen a lot of pilots and FAs showing up to work lately with colds and getting other people sick. You don't need to see a Dr for a friggin cold. Stay home and don't get others sick.

I would imagine your union will have a piece out today on the matter. Seems out of line by the CP's. No faith in their pilots.
