In any case I think DL's objective is to ramp up their mainline presence in SEA to continue to compete with Alaska.

Not sure how why Delta would take over their e175 flying at this point. Maybe sometime in the future if the regionals really struggle to staff, but we aren't there yet and I'm sure the way Delta is, they may want to shift the planes to Delta first and then hire. Or they could shift the planes and pilots, but it would have to get really bad first for them to go down that route and we're talking 5 year time frame for that scenario.

Not sure how I follow you. Delta is getting e190's and will replace none/some/all of the e175 flying there eventually. Historically, Compass has shifted all over the place.

Yeah I understand you now. I didn't think Delta would do that either but replacing that flying with e190s is more believable.

Compass always said SEA will be a fairly small base. Didn't SEA just get the two planes that were dedicated to the shuttle? I wouldn't worry about SEA going anywhere for a couple years. I heard that base came with a minimum of a three year commitment. There's room for more planes in SEA. Besides, isn't DL building more gates there?
