Right, but couldn't RAH just lease the planes or sell them off to whoever they want? Similar to how you can sell a car prior to paying it off, the purchaser would pick up payments.
Delta doesn't just have the ability to give the planes to who they want, unless they took over the payments.

In that case, it won't be up to RAH, it is up to their mainline partners on how they agree to proceed. They can file bankruptcy, but that doesn't prevent the lessor from repossessing the planes and giving them to an airline their mainline partners will use to staff them. Bankruptcy also doesn't prevent their mainline partners from cancelling their CPAs with RAH, hence putting RAH in a situation where they have no money to pay their lessors.

Honest question and I know it may sound crazy. Would you think it would be crazy to leave AWAC (2.5 years 90 from upgrade) for Compass? I currently commute from DSM to DCA.
I have 1700hrs 121 time. I know your not hiring DEC, but what would Compass be like for someone with my experience?
We have hardly upgraded anyone this year and word is were parking some old ones (4-5 planes) starting January. Lovely. This combined with a definite end to AA flying Feb 2018 (as of now) has me less than thrilled. Also completely over the East coast/NE flying. We literally don't go west of MEM.
I am a senior FO and get great schedules and we do have a good contract/benefits, so part of me thinks it's completely nuts to leave. However I'm really burnt out doing the same 10-12 cities and 8 overnights. For serving 70 cities it's petty crazy how little variety you see.
I don't know. Any thoughts? Thank you

While we don't have rumors of loosing airplanes I wouldn't want to go on the back of a list, loose seniority to commute to LA.

I personally wouldn't think it would be worth it, you'll have a lot more people in front of you trying to upgrade. The flow is finished and I think we're just about the numbers we need for the AA airplanes. Upgrades are going to slow down to whatever attrition becomes.

agreed. 1st year pay here is simply ridiculous and its literally not possible to live without at least a 2nd if not a 3rd job. the fact of the matter is you will never make as an FO here what you make at awac until you upgrade. so unless you have a big nest egg saved up that you dont care about blowing through and getting $650-$800 semi monthly paychecks, id stay put if i were you. Not to mention lax is already planned at 250 fo's so your seniority wont be great and may take awhile to improve. just my friendly advice, pm me if youd like

My friend interviewed for a sim instructor position. 10 instructors were hired and he also said 40 a month for new hires for the foreseeable future.

Yep, I have also hear from a few instructors they were told 40/month at least through April. The last class had 2, and there were rumblings that it was slowing. I guess management wanted to smoosh that rumor with their plans through spring.

Whatever that means, and I feel like check airman rumors are SLIGHTLY more valid than rumors from FAs.
