I respectfully disagree, upgrading is not easy. It's already a steep learning curve for anyone who has experience in the E170 and is familiar with our AOM/FOM. I'm glad you think it's such an easy job but that's not the case for most. Someone hired with no jet time and little experience with our operations and upgrades right our of FO training is in for a rough ride. Add to that flying with an inexperienced FO right out of CA IOE and you're in for a ride.

Hey guys, just curious how many sim/ftd sessions do you guys have in training? My friend claims 3 then checkride...seems a bit low

4 ftd's, 6 sims, mv, loft, then LOE (that is the "checkride")

Day of ground school, oral is on Day 2, 2 FTD's, and a procedures validation.(procedures test in the FTD). Then, 2 Sim's, MV, Loft, LOE.

Last vacancy had 32 upgrades and 9 people on alternate list after it was amended..
