It's not rocket science, but it is big step up for a lot of people.

Good luck. Congrats on the upgrade.
swing and a miss, thanks though

I have a lot of mil PIC and have no intention of upgrading. I'll be the old guy in the right seat happy to say, "Gear up...yes sir." I'll still by the coffee and beer.

What is the mil time in? Pic in an F16 doesn't really equate to being great in a crew environment.

Just read "Heavy". Got it.
Not sure why he had to put in his .02 about the good advice above though...

But, consider flying the line a bit longer than you technically have to in order to become comfortable with this airline first.
I certainly hope you made your concerns known to the FOs you're talking about. If you don't think they should upgrade, tell them.

Because everyone that is upgrading either has significant mil pic and 500 hours or 1000 hours of 121 time.....and everyone is acting like it's a brand new 172 cfi that's upgrading

Insert my name here. Have the time, would have been in this last class but would like to spend more time learning the operation. I do not want to go into Monterrey, Mexico for the first time as the HMFIC.

Never understood the big deal with Monterrey. I went there all the time when I was at XJT. They always vectored us to the LOC or VOR course. Fly what's on the charts and you're good

Agree...I've flown in many countries and the approach into mty is pretty straight forward
