What are the competitive minimums?
Any preference given to applicants with 170 experience? pt 121 experience?

I have 2600+ hrs, 2500 PIC, and part 135 CA experience. No jet time, no Part 121 time, no phone call.

The pilot job market is upside down right now. There no no rhyme or reason to who and why people are being hired. Because there are 8,000 or so pilots on HR's database you can't get upset at yourself or the company for not getting a call. I know a guy in my class that put his app in on Monday and got a call Wed. I had my stuff in for 2 years. Go figure.

I interviewed last year, it took 11 months and a recommendation to get a call. Some got a call sooner, and some are still waiting. Even after the interview, they were extremely picky as to who they hired. They turned away a lot of good people with various experience levels. Nobody really knows what exactly they are looking for. Good Luck!

I submitted my resume last year before Thanksgiving. I interviewed and was hired before Christmas.

Stuff's been in since before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I don't know anybody at Compass, so an internal rec is going to be tough. I know people at DAL, but I don't think that's going to help me.

Hi!
Knowing someone does not help. There have been guys with good times, and 3 or MORE reccs, and no interview...and, in fact, told they aren't what Compass is looking for.
On another topic, just went to the website, and you HAVE to have a Comm-MEL and Inst-MEL, and a current ATP written to meet their minimums. If you don't have all 3 of those, then you will not be hired, according to their website.
I personally think the above was published in error, but, how do we know it was an error? Did I just waste my time applying???

Don't most pilots have at least a commercial multi with instrument? The ATP written can be done over a weekend.
