The post above me is likely incorrect on the upgrade times for pilots coming in with 1000 hours 121 time.

Due to the amount of pilots hired without any of the 1000 hour requirement, there will be a lot of pilots bypassed and we will probably have to hire street captains. We already have a fair amount bypassing to hold MSP CA.

If you get hired before that happens, you would hold it before the street captain announcement comes. Waiting for the announcement just means you will be a junior captain longer.

It will probably be no more than a 3-6 month period were the upgrades dip that junior before the pilots under the minimums get the time and start to upgrade

You get paid 18.5 hours. So $400ish for two weeks

Is that how long the CBT takes to complete or is it just a random number they decide to pay?

I actually agree with 404 on this one.
A CP recently told me that they ran the numbers in November and said about 80-100 wouldn't be able to upgrade when their number came up. Based on that number, it won't be a quick upgrade. But that stat only tells half the story and assumes that everybody hired after the AA flying was announced has upgrade mins - they don't. There is a high percentage of prior 121 guys hired 10/2014 thru current who don't have upgrade mins. It might surprise you how junior the upgrades go later this summer...

Too long. Efficiency at CP is not high. Plan on almost 2 months before the chance of starting ioe. Could be longer.

Which really isn't bad. We had about 2 weeks total of time off once we returned for ground school. That's pretty typical of most airlines, especially if they're doubling in size. I have friends at PSA who started in October and are still awaiting IOE.

There are at least 100 FOs hanging out in the school house right now though. Getting them all to the line by mid summer or so is going to be interesting.
