With the way DCI is scheduled who knows how long CPZ will be out west. AS Delta gets more 717's out west DCI, I'd guess DCI carriers will shift some more.

Our flying is shifting to other markets. Delta uses us to test new markets..so the shuttle is gone and they deploy those ac on other routes until it warrants something more than 76 seats.

From what I'm hearing, I think the school-house has just hit the iceberg. 200+ open training events. Instructors are maxed out. Classes are being delayed. February schedule isn't even complete. Apparently there is an instructor meeting Monday Feb 9th. Let us know what you hear.

That's right! A day late and a dollar short. That's the way Trans States works. They are shooting themselves in the foot and it is making us all nervous. They should have hired at least 10 SLIPs last fall and had them trained already. It's not the fault of the training managers at Compass...it's 100% the fault of TSH and their inability to give our training manages the power to do what they feel they need to do.

Why is everybody so nervous? Everything is under control... they are being cheap about it, but they've done this before and know what they are doing.
Every year there has been flows, there have been hold backs - its SOP! It doesn't mean the house is falling down.
There are reserve green days for LAX FOs, we are overstaffed if anything.
The CA side is just fine too. So they have to offer some critical pay every once in a while - it's cheaper than running an upgrade class in September or October and having to pay for it. Since they waited, their mainline partner pays for the training.
As far as SLIP instructors, they all love working doubles and getting PAID!
Nobody should lose sleep over this.

How many non-flowing check airmen won't last long as they add that great resume builder to their online apps at all the places they have been pursuing?
A runway is about to close at LAX! For months. Actually, more than a year.
