Guaranteed Interview Program
Delta Air Lines Requirements
Delta Air Lines, Inc. will offer competitive candidates a guaranteed pilot interview provided the candidate has met the following requirements:
· Candidate was hired by a Delta connection carrier using a high standard testing protocol. This testing protocol will be evaluated periodically by Delta Air Lines, Inc. to ensure its efficacy.

· Candidate has signed a release permitting Delta Air Lines access to all work records on file at Compass Airlines.

· Candidate must receive a recommendation from Compass Airlines management.

· Candidate meets all current Delta Air Lines pilot hiring requirements.

Compass Airlines Requirements
· Candidate has been a pilot at Compass Airlines for a minimum of three years.

· Candidate maintains a solid employment record during his/her employment at Compass Airlines.

Additionally, competitive candidates will be considered in order of seniority after the most junior flow pilot has been offered an opportunity to flow.

Highly doubt this sticks with Compass doing the AA flying now... Delta most likely will conveniently 'forget' all about this.

Compass is not wholly owned, why would Delta care who they fly for?

I think this model is probably what will be standard with Delta Connection carriers in order to help them attract new hires.

I know compass is one of the top regionals to go to and I'm currently trying to decide if I should go to Compass or Skywest. I know Compass offers a much quicker upgrade time and nice planes then Skywest, but comparing contracts it seems like Skywest has a much better one. What are the perks of working for Compass other then quick upgrades?

I want to be based in the west coast so that's why both airlines appeal to me. Any thoughts would be very helpful. Thanks!

So heard that half of the LAX-SFO Shuttle is going to the 717 in June.

Skywest doesn't have a contract, it has rules put out by management on how things are done. If you don't like it, then you quit or get fired.

Honestly it should come down to who offers you a job first. I wouldn't say Compass has nicer airplanes as Skywest is taking deliveries of brand new E170s. Either one is a decent regional, and I don't think you could lose either way.

Which is great news for everyone. The variety of flying at Compass will be going up and mainline will be flying more routes that should be mainline flying.

Delta will always use CPZ as a test bed to enter new markets with only 76 seats until they decide to throw 110 seats at it.

With Compass you are pretty much going to get LAX out of training. You will be able to hold LAX with Skywest over time, but you will be bidding more senior with Compass out of LAX vs. Skywest out of LAX.

Yeah not a contract, but a policy manual. You dont feel a policy is followed at Skywest, you greive to SAPA which may or may not work. They have no legal leverage, just morale to balance. But nobody gets fired over disputes at Skywest unless its harrasement, substance abuse or safety. Being fired over contract disputes seems common at some TSH companies, can't say that Compass is like that though. Realistically the rules you will live under are comparable, each having some aspects better than the other.

If LAX is a desired domicile, its the junior base at Compass and should stay that way for a long time. Other than that its MSP and DTW for domiciles. SkyWest has a lot of western domiciles, but most tend to be senior depending where and when.

Where did you hear that? Great, if true.
