How are the working conditions for the crew schedulers/dispatchers? Are they treated well? Overworked? Does anyone know the pay for a scheduler? Thank you.

Now, now. Let's not write management's propaganda for them.

To wit:

Compass is a Part 121 airline flying modern 2-class jet aircraft to both coasts throughout three countries in North America. Their pilot pay is significantly below the historical standard for the class of aircraft they operate, as is most of their other employee pay. Virtually every aspect of the operation is run as cheaply - and as shoddily - as management believes they can get away with. To justify these facts, management constantly refers to the airline as being a "regional airline."

"Compass is an airline" .... now that's funny.

Is Compass still sending new hires to Canada to get typed in the EMB175 or is it being done at Pan am in Minneapolis?

Interviewing hasn't started yet. I talked with Jami in HR just the other day. She is working on the interview process for Delta. They had a bunch of questions I guess and she was preparing a packet of info for them as to there hiring standards and such. I think that interviews will depend purely on attrition until Delta starts hiring. And I don't think there is much attrition right now. One or two here or there. A couple to Virgin, a couple to Airtran, that kind of thing. Maybe we will hire a few (less than 20) if the LGA swap actually happens. I wouldn't expect much until Delta breaks loose, if ever.
