I was told that HR has some 4000 applications on file right now. Pair that with the fact that this is Compass HR you're dealing with and I wouldn't expect to hear anything soon.

I don't work in HR and am not privy to any special information, but based off the qualifications of my classes and some of the classes before and after mine, there is a chance you may be "over-qualified", in their eyes. I know, it sounds ridiculous. I would venture a guess that 90% of the recent hires were first officers at other regionals and do not have the time to be able to jump ship (to a major/netjets/etc.) when things turn around. Again, this is just my $.02 based off what I have observed.
Best of luck and hopefully you will hear something soon.

From what little information I have been able to extract, they are looking for:

ATP Mins
Previous Part 121 experience
"Glass" experience (i.e. CRJ/ERJ, etc. etc.)
College Degree

Rumor is they are changing the interview process to more closely resemble a "Delta" interview. From the sounds of things, it will be a major undertaking with a hefty budget.

Leaving enough paper in the printer/copy machine for the weekend is a MAJOR UNDERTAKING at this place.

Everything with HR here seems to take forever. If you dont get a response it could be you are over qualified but just as likely they lost the paperwork/computer file.
When I had an issue with my wifes name to get it corrected on the nonrev sight it took 4 phone calls and 3 emails to HR before they finally got it corrected. Just an EX.

FWIW, it took a written recommendation from a current Captain and 11 months of waiting to get a call for an interview, and then it took over a month to get a rejection email that I wasn't offered the position. Their HR department is very disorganized and not too bright.

Are you really willing to give up your seniority number at NetJets?

i disagree with the over-qualified statement from Comair fo, actually 4700hrs would have put you on the low end in my class last year. out of 6, 5 came from a major and i ve heard other classes have similar experience.

can t really tell what it takes to get a call, probably a lot of luck, seems like people come from different aviation background but all seems to be fairly experienced..

good luck anyways

Lots of different people here. My class was all furloughed regional. The class before was fractional and majors and cargo. This airline is a refugee camp from all aviation backgrounds.

The low timer in my class had about 4000 TT and he was a fractional guy. The rest of us were refugees from the majors with 7000-12,000 TT. Some had internal recs and some didn't. If/when the hiring at big boys fires up, the exodus at this place will be ugly (for the company).

That's encouraging to hear they are hiring from a diverse background of pilots. It seems like Eagle, AWAC, etc. are taking furloughed regional guys and CFIs that have just the mins and not much more. I know that going back to any regional will be a huge step backward in pay and benefits, QOL, etc, but I would much rather work at Compass than sit around and wait for NetJets to recall. At this point, it's looking like a few years for me, and that is if they don't furlough again.
