Compass updates

Doesn't appear to be one. I did the last one at DFW and its focus is on Spirit Airlines and most of the guys/gals there will be to meet with Spirit management/pilots, but nearly every regional I could think of was there besides Mesa. And you have a chance to talk with each one of them.

I highly recommend the David Clark ProX. I've worn the Bose A20 and the Telex 850 in the E175. Bose is a great headset but a little robust to wear for 8 hours at a time (and very expensive). The Telex is much lighter but can hurt your ears and head after a few hours. Also, the noise canceling is weak and the speakers just plain suck. You will miss radio calls. I got the DC's just to try for a trip or two and now I can't recommend them highly enough.

For those looking at headsets for the bird - the plane has the old fashion mic/phone input and an ANR input for you fancy folk.

They have 6 pin plugs in them. Yes, that will save me some AA batteries.

Question about the flow up/down with Delta..
It says on the Compass profile that if Delta were to furlough, 90% of Compass pilots could be displaced and the Delta pilots would take the spots at Compass. Am i reading this correctly?

Yes you are correct, but chances are Delta won't furlough in the next 5-10 years. So no real need to worry about the flowback. As long as you weren't planning on making Compass your career. (Don't!)
