I hope they make it so we can get and sign the releases on the iPad. I know this won't happen, because it would make life far too easy, but I can hope.

This isn't happening. The software that you are referring to is the SOC software (think CrewTrac, FLiCA, AeroData)

The bidding is done through a COMPLETELY different system.

I was told we were switching to the Lufthansa version of flica, crew trac, flight trac - everything. One stop shop and each program is compatible with the other. They're essentially swapping Sabre for Lufthansa. TSH and GoJet are doing the same.

Exactly. Sabre is not used for bidding. The bidding is done separately, and furthermore, there is contract language that governs the change of bidding software, which makes it a more complicated change than the rest of the SOC software

Lufthansa has a bidding program as well; part of the same suite. Can't imagine we wouldn't use it too.

FWIW, other airlines use Flica for PBS bidding.

Hey all! I'm currently in the Nov 20th class and looking for a bit of information. I'm pretty hesitant to leave my current regional (fear of the unknown, i suppose). As I understand it, my classmates and I are going to be at the VERY back end of the "quick upgrades", as in we may not get them (it all depends on who you ask). Would you all agree?

Also, i'm somewhat concerned about CPZ performance with Delta. It seems CPZ is consistently at the bottom of the performance rankings in D:0, A:14, and CCF when compared with other DC regionals. Any ideas on why this is the case? I know the contracts go out until 2020, but could Delta change that due to low performance numbers? I'm not trying to rile anyone up, i'm just curious.

It may take more than 12 months, but what are the current prospects for upgrade at your current regional? If the answer is none. I'd be gone.

As for the performance. Haven't heard of it being bad lately. That being said, I only worry about what I can control.

There were 4 Endeavor FOs in my class. 7 year, 6.5, 3, 3. That's saying something. It's a tough call. You have to look at your current prospects and decide if it's better than a 1.5 (worst case) year or so upgrade. You have to do what's right for you.

I was the least experienced guy in my class with 1 year at xjt and 600 turbine.

I'm sure plenty of other people will enjoy those upgrade spots. November classes are not even remotely close to the tail end.

I take what you say with a grain of salt. I've read through most of this thread, and earlier this year you said there was absolutely no way compass would get American flying.

That aside, I think the upgrade will still be around one year due to all the fo's that won't have 1000 sic when they need it.
