CDO - Is that continous duty overnight? Is that normal, 26% of the schedule/pairings to be standups? Can guys even avoid them when there are that many? idk just seems like a lot.

All that said, they're avoidable unless you are extremely junior, which most people aren't for more than a month or so due to all of the hiring. If you don't want to fly them, then bid reserve.
Biter - may seem strange to you guys, but that's a throwback from the NWA days. DTW has always had a lot of them, and most commuters like them. They're normally productive, and one can fly 3 of them for a complete month.

I love the 5 day trips and I'm not a commuter. The productive ones can give me great credit and a lot of days off (17+).

Does anybody know when the annual health benefits enrollment window usually opens?

I emailed the company this week and asked. They said we would be sending out the benefits package info to us in mid December and that they hadn't finalized the numbers quite yet...they had no details. However, I was told of a "nominal increase in premiums".

Wow, mid December?! Isn't it a little bit too late to make elections that kick in on January 1st? Has it always been so late in the past?

Really depends on the credit for the trip...in months past including November there have been some 35+ hour credit 5 days I was bidding inside the 25% of line holders and bidding those trips as specific pairings, no bueno though...
