Compass updates

I bet instead of slowing down to a class a month like planned they will just work at doing 2 classes a month. New planes won't come till 1st quarter 2015 so that gives 6 months or so to get people trained which I think is possible. Plus alot of people already wanted to come work here and more will come for the movement with this aa flying. I feel bad for guys flowing because they will probably be held back by as much time as the company can do.

We already are held back as long as possible. But with additional pilots on the seniority list, the remaining flow pilots will get their DL seniority date sooner so it is actually a good thing. It's only a couple months difference but with DL hiring 100 pilots a month that could be a few hundred seniority numbers higher than if they flowed on the current schedule.

I would bet there will be a new wave of applications after this announcement. I really don't think there will be any issues with hiring in the near term. Who knows long term. Things change so quickly it's impossible to know.

You guys think you'll have no problem getting sim time? I'm indifferent on you guys getting the planes but I just wonder about staffing for the flow AND new airplanes at the same time. When are those coming on property?

The LCA I was doing OE with last week said that so many initial training slots come with the purchase of the new airplanes.
We'll see I guess.

The company email said the first plane shows up on property Feb. 2015. No set delivery schedule yet. Nothing's been said, as far as I've seen, about more sim time or where it will be.
